Missing data problem with running sum chart

I have a chart that shows a running sum across some categories over time. One category is not present in the after a certain date.

The running sum for the values prior to that date should continue to show up in the chart, but it doesn't (see picture and workbook below).

Any suggestions for a workaround?

Eric, I opened up your workbook and I'm not getting the results you are getting. It's working fine as far as I can tell. (See attached). --Shawn
